West Coast Child Welfare Trainer’s Conference – Boise, ID 2020

The West Coast Child Welfare Trainer’s Conference (WCCWTC) Planning Committee has been actively monitoring the COVID-19 Pandemic.  We recognize the stress has brought to communities and organizations, and we have been in contact to determine the right course of action regarding the 2020 Child Welfare Trainer’s Conference.  It is with GREAT sadness that it has been determined that the best course of action at this time is to cancel the 2020 Conference. 

For the first time in conference history, we will not be together in late summer to network, grow and learn as a training community!  This year’s conference was scheduled to be held in Boise, ID on July 28 – 31, 2020, however due to anticipated ongoing impacts of COVID-19 to our Child Welfare Systems it has been determined that it would be best if we postpone conference activities until 2021.  As planning for the 2021 West Coast Child Welfare Trainer’s Conference gets started, more information will be provided.

In the meantime, the West Coast Child Welfare Trainer’s Conference THANKS YOU for your ongoing support and commitment to supporting the Child Welfare Training Community!  We invite you to join the planning committee for the 40^th Annual West Coast Child Welfare Trainer’s Conference (if interested please email Erik Applebee from the Child Welfare Alliance at the University of Washington) or connect with us on Facebook.  Without a conference this year, we hope to have a larger online presence and plan on bringing pop-up training opportunities to the Child Welfare Training Community (interested in contributing to!  Stay Tuned – there is so much more to come!
